The pace here is easygoing yet lively—a place where the hustle of a popular breakfast spot blends seamlessly with the familiar comfort of home-cooked flavors and friendly faces. The atmosphere carries a blend of island charm and classic Americana, reflecting the Big Island itself—rooted in tradition but open to playful twists. Sunlight filters through the windows in the morning, illuminating the casual wooden tables scattered with families, couples, and solo diners who’ve come for their morning dose of island warmth and satisfying bites. When the noon rush kicks in, the rhythm picks up, but at no point does it lose that inviting, neighborhood-gathering feel.

Ok, this is gonna take my best descriptors so here goes. I seriously jones for the macadamia pancakes here , and they never disappoint. So I ate yet another plate of them, crispy bacon and some easy-over eggs. Coffee is the only place I take it black, so dang good

Local style family restaurant with excellent service. The wait isn't usually too long, and it's totally worth it. My favorite breakfast joint in Kona. I especially enjoy the B.I.G. Saimin with lots of spicy mustard.

Came in on a Saturday morning for brunch and was lucky to be seated right away, a line started forming shortly after I sat down. I tried the Macadamia Nut Pancake Combo with a side of rice and coffee. The Mac nut pancakes weren't anything special; the nuts were mostly just for texture and didn't have much flavor. I did like how huge the 2 pancakes were. The rest of the breakfast was standard but solid. The coffee was okay, a little thin/watery. Overall, the service was quick and friendly. I’d definitely come back to try the Chantilly Waffle next time!

It was our first night on the Big Island. They took our party of 7 with no reservation. The food came out fast and HOT! The food was also delicious! Greatest service as well. I highly recommend.

Delicious and exactly what we were looking for on our first visit to the big island. Loco Moco is served with a house-made gravy with char-grilled burger patties. If you’re a first timer trying this Hawaiian classic, you’re in safe hands coming here. To be honest though the peak of the meal was the macaroni-potato salad. Definitely the best Hawaiian mac salad we’ve had and so simple. The Portuguese sausage was delicious (still go with the hamburger patty for the Loco Moco though. It just works better). Would come again!

I heard positive things about this restaurant a while ago and finally got the chance to go! I ordered the B.I.G. Fish Salad (broiled fresh fish, romaine, purple sweet potatoes, creamy sesame dressing, etc.) and B.I.G. Ice Cream Pie (coconut haupia ice cream, graham cracker crust, chocolate sauce, diced macnuts, whipped cream). The ice cream pie might have been the single best dessert item I've ever had.
